Intro

Welcome to the Quiltland.

What is the Quiltland, you ask? Well, The Quiltland is a large planet with several cities and continents scattered across its surface.

However, rather than be embedded in earth and surrounded by water, like a normal plant would be, these locations are embedded in what can only be described as glass.

Looking down into this glass reveals that the core of this planet is just a massive rod connecting to a bizarre looking disk that is shaped somewhat like a roulette wheel.

Said Roulette wheel has a LOT of different slots across several different rings, though what is shown in these slots seems to vary dramatically. Some show neighborhoods or forests or things on rotating disks, others simply show portals. In the very center of this disk is a large sphere.

Let me make this clear, the Quiltland is very weird. On the surface of the disk, things make zero sense, and only start to make sense once you’re physically IN one of the slots. It’s almost as if every slot is like a pocket void of some sort.

The contents of each slot varies wildly, and one ring doesn’t even seem to have separate slots, being a single slot all on its own!

Let’s get into the origins, shall we?

Each place here started off as either a normal place that was torn from its original location and sent into the nothing, or was simply already in the Nothing! Regardless of origins, everything eventually slowly came together to form the Quiltland, piece by piece. There are some bits of lore weaving together here and there, but most things are just there because they happen to fit.

The Place is watched over by a goddess, known as Quilt, and several angels working below her, all to keep the peace and make sure things stay functional.

The Hierarchy

There's a definitive hierarchy among the angels, with, of course, Quilt at the top. This will remove some of the confusion related to the order of the angels.

TERMINOLOGY

Let’s get into the layout, shall we?

Core

The Core is the very center of the Quiltland, a four layered segment. It is in charge of a LOT. It also serves as the central part of the Quiltland. Without it, the entire planet would collapse, sending all the worlds within, and everyone in them, into an intangible version of space where they’re all floating together in an endless white abyss.

Disfacilition

At the very center is a large sphere, known as the Core, or Disfacilition, as most call it. Disfacilition is essentially a blend of the slots around it. The way it works is that any of the slots around it can lead into it, and any door can lead to anything featured in any of the other slots. Say you entered through the Studio. You’d still be in the studio, but any door could have you entering the Facility or something.

Castle Marigold

Above the Core sits the Magical, and Ancient, Castle Marigold, a wondrous sight to sore eyes. The trek to the very center of the coin, and up to the floating castle is long and hard, but the rewards outweigh the pain tenfold, for within the lonely Castle sits a soul whose kindness is unmatched, a soul who will offer an endless waterfall of reassurance, love, aid, and comfort, to any and all who can reach it.

It is home to one of the most ancient kingdoms in existence, the Marigold Family.

The Great Tombs

The Great Tombs are hidden by a magical Spell, and are only accessible via a stairwell in Castle Marigold. It contains the lost members of the Marigold Family and the Royal collective, and the dead buried here can be revived, should it be absolutely needed.

The Dark Caves

The Dark Caves are exactly what the name implies, a small cave system. It is home to a large number of monsters that live in the dark, as well as Alice, who was invited by Princess Marigold.

THE ROYAL COLLECTIVE

THE ROYAL COLLECTIVE consists of everyone under the Castle’s Employment, magically linked together and granted a form of immortality through “place swapping”, by the very first Queen Marigold. The Ranks include the Cassidies, the Jims, Martha and Co, The Lonely Knight and Co, and MORE.

Martha

“Martha is 6 feet tall. She has long hair, that starts off red, turns orange half way down to her back, and is yellow at the tips, mimicking the look of a blazing fire. Her pupils are three colors, red in the center, orange around the red, and yellow around the orange, in the shape of an ever burning fire. The edges of her pupils even shift and move as if they were fires. Her skin is a nice porcelain white. She wears a large white lab coat that falls down to her hips, a long fire colored skirt (red at the start, orange half way, yellow at the bottom), that falls to her knees, and large black boots. Her lab coat is notably singed around the edges, and has a number of burn marks all over it. Martha has a tendency to self-experiment, testing things on herself, intentionally putting herself in harm’s way for the sake of science. She has a case of pyromania, and absolutely loves fire. In fact, she has a tendency to become completely entranced, if a fire is lit in front of her. In fact, she’s so entranced by fire that she will willingly let it burn her because it’s so pretty. She has serious problems. She is a scientist that does a lot of experiments. She is never seen without her notebook and pen.”

Jacky

“Jacky is 7 feet tall. She has long, porcelain white hair, super large, pure white eyes, porcelain white skin, and wears a long white dress, white gloves, and white boots. She is a super shy individual, always doing her best to hide away, but she does love to read and perform experiments. She’s rather quiet and silent, preferring to not speak whenever possible.”

Lily

————

Huntress

“Hirable Hitwoman, Bounty Hunter, and Slime humanoid. She’s 8 feet tall, slim and slender, and has pitch black skin with piercing emerald eyes. She has no hair, no visible mouth, and is essentially a silhouette. She wears a large black cloak that keeps her body covered. She has three main items, Her watch, her Crystal, and her Cloak. Her watch is a time traveler’s watch, allowing her to set a time checkpoint and then reset time to that checkpoint. She uses this so she can reset any mistakes she makes during missions, as she hates being seen. Her Crystal is a large red Crystal that holds all her weaponry, which she can pull from at Will. Her cloak is the Mysterious Shadow Cloak, that allows her to become a shadow. She has five pink slime creatures within her crystal. It is unclear what her actual body composition is, as either the stories are wildly varying or she actually changes. Has a daughter named Night, a fellow, although accidental time hopper she adopted.”

The Gearworks

Sitting Below Disfacilition, on the underbelly of the coin, rests the eerie and dark Gearworks area. Despite the eerie darkness, the place always seems to be buzzing with life. And in fact, if one is close enough, and it’s silent enough, one may hear the clicking of the Gearworks slowly going about its duty. The place is home to the ominous Mechanical creatures known collectively as the Clockwork Soldiers.

The Shimmershine Clock Tower

Sitting above Castle Marigold, within and on the Rod that keeps the Planet’s outer shell intact, is The Shimmershine Clock Tower, the clock used to ensure that time is clear and remains intact. If ever the clock were to stop, all time would freeze, on the surface of the planet and in each slot. The only place unaffected would be the inside of the Clock Tower, due to having 30 backup Timekeepers to keep the staff working.

The Ring Of Inserts

The very first ring in the coin is the Ring Of Inserts, which is occupied by copies of existing fictional things, with a few Ocs thrown in to spice things up. It has seven segments.

The Studio

The Studio, or The City of Ink as it’s often called by its residents, appears to be a simple studio just… randomly sitting there on one of the seven slots. The studio looks somewhat run down and abandoned, but there’s a LOT more to it than it seems. See, the Studio is teeming with “Ink Spawns” of many varieties, all monstrous in nature and in no way safe. And not only this, it has its fair share of more noteworthy dangers too, most notably The Living Sea, that functions as the central danger above all others.

The Casino

A demonic place, as in literally run by the Devil himself, The Casino is a place where greedy idiots gamble away their souls. The Casino isn’t all that bad though, the drinks are wonderful, and when not trying to steal souls, the Devil, also known as Scaramit, is actually a really chill dude. As long as you don’t owe a debt that is.

The Facility

The Facility is a strange place, split in two. One half mostly inhabited by very strange slime based creatures that take on animal qualities, and the occasional human or two. The other half is infested by sentient robots. The Facility is very large and maze-like, meaning it’s incredibly easy to get lost.

Megamart

Megamart, the massive shopping center that has no real point of being here. It’s literally just a massive mall, full of hundreds of different stores, some of which have anomalous properties.

Toys 4 U

A somewhat abandoned toy shop, infested with hundreds of living toys. The actual owners of the shop have long since vanished, and the place remains abandoned, splattered with the blood of those lost within.

Tinton

Tinton is a city that is inexplicably part of the Quiltland. It’s a New York-esque city, inhabited by a large variety of entities, from Mutants to object-head individuals.

Forgotten Cavern

Oh boy…

Fun fact, the place came into existence through an experiment gone wrong that resulted in the hyper-accelerated evolution of a simple insect species, eventually resulting in the insectoids that populate this massive kingdom.

Connected Ring

Welcome to the second ring on the Coin, the Connected ring. Named after an old abandoned project of mine, from which the grand majority of the characters featured within this Ring originated, the Connected Ring is one of the most interesting, because I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, It’s All Connected.

The Neighborhood

The Neighborhood functions as the first slot in the Connected Ring, functioning as a Circle split in three, that rotates with the constant spinning of the Quiltland Coin. Each third holds a family within the Neighborhood. The Walking Liability known as the Brennan Clan, the Murderous Black Family, and the Ghostly Piedvin family.

Marquestioland

Oh boy!

It’s funny how things can start off so simple and then end up so complicated.

This place started off as a simple eight levels, featuring the majority of the Carmichael clan, but has since evolved into an ever growing “world” of levels, known primarily as The Mario World. It’s CRAZY. And only seven levels are ever mainly seen. 1-1 through 2-3.

Burn

Burn is a place that always seems to be on fire, inhabited by a number of fire based entities. Inhabitable to anyone who isn’t a fire elemental, as this place will eat through even the strongest of fire-resisting spells within seconds.

Wedge Of Otoma

The Wedge of Otoma is exactly what it’s name implies, a piece of Otoma that ended up as a piece of the Quiltland. Despite not being a part of the whole, The Wedge of Otoma is just as creepy.

Cartooniva

Existing on the Quiltland as a giant TV that has to be entered, Cartooniva is a “pocket dimension” in the style of an old 1960s black and white cartoon, with Looney Toons style chaos. A perfect place to experience the immortality of a cartoon, without being one!

Chapel

The Chapel is a gloomy place, splattered with the blood of fallen victims. Only three entities make their home there, the Murderer, the Ghost, and the Victim.

The Hive

A hive full of mysterious anthro bees that are just trying to get by. The creatures are helped by The Centurion, and watched over by their loving queen.

Stationary Ring

The Stationary Ring! A separator between the mechanics of the prior three rings, and any rings past it. This ring, unlike all the others, does not move, acting as a sort of Stabilizer, while also holding extremely important things that shouldn’t move.

Primary Pipe Hub

One of the major ways to move throughout the Quiltland are the pipes, ripped from Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. And any pipe, if followed to the end, will drop a person off here, at the Primary Pipe hub, where ALL pipes eventually connect. This place acts as a way to get anywhere.

Battlefield of The Bodyguard

For the Bodyguard, look under Castle Marigold.

This is the Battlefield of the Bodyguard, a place where it fights, using its own rules and mechanics, stolen again from Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. It is one of several battlegrounds, though the least famous. The most well known is the infamous Agony Ring.

Gearworks Entrance

The Gloomy Gearworks do get an entrance, on the Immobile Stationary ring. Nothing brings more dread than walking down these pitch black steps. Beyond stepping into the Altar or into Falthbron Keep.

Quiltland Power

Even a big reality bending place like the Quiltland needs power! And that’s what Quiltland Power is here for, providing power to all places that require it, or a basic energy to convert into power.

The Great Tower

A Boss Rush! So many entities appear here, and it’s a place to test one’s might without being Humiliated, unlike entering the Agony Ring. It’s a place for Fighters of the Royal Collective to train and get stronger.

Royal Ring

The Royal Ring! Another Stationary ring, the Royal Ring is used as a “holding place” of a sort, for some of the groups featured within the Royal Collective. These include the Isolated Village, where Merch is from, and the Steelvein House, home to the Steelvein family.

Isolated Village

Welcome, Welcome to the Isolated Village! Home Village of Merch, the Omnipresent Merch. It’s a pretty place, if you ignore the sickness that’s running rampant.

House Steelvein

The Steelvein family is pretty large, so they have a large home to hold all of them.

Knight’s Sanctuary

The Knight’s Sanctuary has been a getaway for the Knights of Castle Marigold for a milenia and serves the same purpose to this very day. It’s a safe place to relax, without the constant feeling that one must protect.

Quiltland News

A mysterious news channel place, the modern day incarnation of ancient record keeping from thousands of years ago.

Day Ring

The Day Ring is a ring that as it’s name implies rotates once a day, separate from the rotating of the Self Insert, and Connected Rings. This ring is kind of the “Shove Everything in here if there’s no other spot” ring, and thus has no real consistent theme.

The Altar

The Altar! A church gone horribly wrong, Home to numerous cultists, and the mysterious demonic bat named Cutesy, who seems to be one of the many things worshiped within this corrupt, cursed place of worship.

Lofi Zone

The Quiltland has its own Radio Tower thingy place, The Lofi Zone, a place of chill vibes. All music found throughout the Quiltland most likely comes from here, if there isn’t a radio station present within the slot.

The Haunted Forest

The Haunted Forest is exactly what it’s name implies, an extremely cursed and haunted forest.

Bright Ring

Generally happy here!

Tulapulp Islands

Welcome to the Tulapulp Islands, a tropical getaway that’s truly to die for! The scenes and cooling breeze will have you wanting to stay forever and ever and ever.

Inksoaked Harbor.

Welcome to the Inksoaked Harbor, a place home to creatures born from magically enchanted ink.

Shimmershine Universe

Welcome to the Shimmershine Universe, an actual universe, with many many things. It’s quite the pretty sight.

Shineland

A Mix of Mario and Pokemon, this place is beautiful and pretty.

Enviro-Land

Why is Enviro-Land in Color? Well, it's a group project and all of us have different colors, so to pay respect to who did what, the colors are there. They'll go away in the next thing.

So we got Minecraft, and the many mods made for it. Enviro-Land is that. But all in one, with so much more and more and more. Rather than being entirely alone, Enviro-Land has many adventurers from outside of the world that inhabit it, as well as plenty of natural civilizations too. At it’s core, and from the start, it was supposed to be Minecraft. But plans change and it has been infested by other franchises featured throughout the Quiltland in which it appears.

The Quiltcity Ring

The Quiltcity ring is very abnormal among rings. Rather than be a ring, it actually turns out to be a city that spans the entire coin, that is only accessible by entering through one of the available slots. It’s quite cool, although there’s always something wrong with the places. Draws most inspiration from Markiplier’s 3 Scary Games videos.

Agony Ring

WELCOME, WELCOME! To the infamous AGONY RING! Drawing HEAVY inspiration from the Soulsborne games, The Agony Ring will humble any overconfident warrior within seconds. The Agony Ring is home to hundreds of beautiful and scenic locations, and even more extremely dangerous and murderous monsters who want nothing more than to slaughter any would-be adventurer who dares set foot in this cursed place. Much like the Quiltcity Ring above it, The Agony Ring is mainly a massive area that spans the entire coin, but it doesn’t stop there. There are HUNDREDS of areas also accessible too, that aren’t immediately reachable by simply entering the Agony Ring.

Special Ring

The Special Ring is a ring that is very special. It is the very last ring in the Coin, and is home to practitioners of magic, who all work together to ensure The World Of Peace, which the Special Ring connects to, stays stable. The Special Ring is the strongest ring, as it is one of three points of Connection between The Coin, and the World Of Peace. Along with this, it also holds the Special and Extreme Special characters.

Ancient Mansion

The Ancient Mansion, one of the oldest structures in the Multiverse, home to the Ancient witch known as Ashley, or Ace.

Quiet Cottage

A quiet little cottage up on a hill in the countryside, the pleasant home of Moothenia. It’s a nice place.

Moocowski Dairy

A massive dairy farm made for cowgirls, run by Mae Moocowski. The place is wonderful, and is practically a sanctuary for cowgirls. It is responsible for all dairy products found throught the Quiltland.

John, Kid, Jacky, Rey, Alex, Aria, Warden, Alice, the main eight.

Masi, Haylee, Lula, Boxxie, MEGA, Mari, Mimikyute, Mila, Bailey, The Forgotten Knight, Millie, Plum, and Medic, the other Thirteen.

Ghost Zone

The Quiltland has a lot of ghosts, and much like the Royal Collective section, this area exists to detail all of the ghosts, who will also appear elsewhere.

World Of Peace

Welcome travelers! You have reached a bastion of joy, somewhere you can rest, and not have to worry about a thing. Welcome one, welcome all, to the World Of Peace!

Ever wonder why the Quiltland looks like a planet? Well, the World of Peace is why! Acting as the very outer edge of the Quiltland, the World of Peace behaves more like a traditional planet than a Quiltland, ignoring the fact that all the landmasses are placed in glass instead of water.
